Chicken Wire
Chicken Wire is a woven wire mesh, originally used for fencing chicken coops and hence it's name. In art & craft terms it is often used in sculpture to re-enforuce the sculpting medium or in paper mache to provide a mesh support base.
Chicken wire can be purchased from any major hardware store in large rolls, use tin snips to cut it. It is very flexible, reasonably light weight and very easy to bend into a desired shape. Chicken wire is also easily obtained as a recycled product, ask around many people have old bits laying in their basement or shed.
Chicken wire is galvanised to reduce rusting, however if you bend and re-bend the mesh and leave out in the weather it can being to rust.
