Darwi is a brand name. Their products are produced in Belgium, their original formulas and were designed as compounds to be used for repairing ceramics and wood items. They can still be used for this purpose, however some artists use them as a sculptural medium too.

Darwi is non-toxic and being an air-dry products does not require a kiln for curing. It is water soluble when moist so clean up is easy with water. After drying you can carve, sand and paint Darwi.
