Drawing

A simplified way of making art, usually employed to take quick visual notes, often as resource for a painting. A sketch is often a drawing. The most important feature of a drawing is the use of line. There is normally only one color, but sometimes a simplified color scheme is employed. Dry media such as charcoal, crayons, pastels, and pencils are usually used, although basic wet media such as inks, gouache, watercolors, and thinned down acrylics or oil paint can sometimes be used to make lines, or wash supplements to the lines.
