Forged metal
Forged metal is a metal object that has been shaped by force while at an extremely hot temperature. A forge is a hearth used for forging . Metal forging is another name for blacksmithing.
The forge heats the metal object to a malleable temperature. The object is taken to a nearby anvil using tongs, and held while the metalsmith or blacksmith beats it into the desired shape using a metal working hammer. During any stage of the process the object may dunked into a slack tub, which rapidly cools the object in a large body of water.
