Kato Polyclay, is a brand of polymer clay produced by the Van Aken company.

Kato Polymer Clay is oven hardened, and can be baked at a higher temperature to other polymer clays and if so it becomes extremely strong. Stronger than other polymer clays.

Kato Polyclay can be cured in an oven up to 300 F (150 C) for 30 minutes per 1/4" (5 mm) of thickness or to a maximum of 350 F for 10 minutes. Other brands are generally baked at 275 F (135 C).

It is available in a range 21 colors including metallics and translucent.

Kato Polyclay has an odor that other polymer clays don't have. Some artists find it annoying. It smells similar to a new plastic product when it's just been unwrapped.
