Methylcellulose
Methylcellulose is a chemical compound that is derived from cellulose. It dissolves in cold water to form a viscous solution or gel and is often used to mount works on paper as it is t is not digestible, not toxic, and not allergenic.
It is also interestingly used as a thickener and emulsifier in various food and cosmetic products as well as it's artistic application.
Another natural adhesive, easier to produce at home is wheatpaste.
