What is PVA?
PVA stands for Poly Vinyl Acetate, it is primarily found in the form of 'wood glue' or general purpose craft glue. It is milky white when liquid and dries clear.
PVA is also commonly thought to stand for Polymer Vinyl Adhesive, this is not correct. PVA is sometimes called "White Glue".
PVA is an interesting medium as many artists have found that it can be mixed with paint, or painting mediums or other additives to assist in their art making. For example it can be mixed with gel medium, to become fairly water resistant and in this way is often used as a final coating for decoupage
