V-Nail
V-Nails, are small nails that are bent at a 90degree angle, they are inserted by pressure into the back of wooden picture frame moulding. The V-Nail pulls the corners of the moulding together and hold both sections, making the finished frame tight & firm.
Traditionally, V-Nails were applied with a small hammer or 'push device' and then finished flush with the timber by a rubber mallet. However more machanised tools have also been invented specificially for V-Nailing, such as the PushMaster framing tool and various hand held and bench mounted nailing guns.
V-Nails can be purchased from any Framing Supplies Store.
