WYSIWYG
Various editors for designing and editing Web pages. The name stands for What You See Is What You Get and applies to the simplified interfaces for doing what would be otherwise complex jobs.
WYSIWYG editors range in price from free to expensive and from simple to very sophisticated. Most of what is required for making Web pages is found in Composer, a WYSIWYG editor built into the Netscape browser, and like Netscape is absolutely free. Nvu is an upgraded version available for separate download from Mozilla. The other options are not cheap but boast more features. Freeway, and Dreamweaver are well known examples.
